René Torres Argentine tango dancer & teacher

For more than 20 years, he has worked in partnership with Junko Mori, traveling across more than 15 countries, teaching and sharing the essence of tango with a strong focus on social dancing and connection.

René Torres is an Argentine tango dancer with over 26 years of experience. Trained in Buenos Aires, he developed his style through years of learning from renowned masters and performing in traditional milongas and stages.

Now based in Tokyo, where he directs Caminito Tango Club, René is known for his clear, musical, and deeply connected teaching style, helping dancers discover their own expression within tango.

For him, tango is a universal language — a way to connect, feel, and share beyond words.

René has served as a judge in various competitions, including the Official Asia Preliminaries for the Tango World Championship.
